STRATEGIC PLAN 2023-2027
Union Crest Bank Launched its Strategic plan 2023-2027 on 3rd February 2023. The plan charts out our long-term strategic goals for carrying out our mission of uplifting the socio-economic status of our members. The new plan will focus on enhancing and modernizing our institutional capacity, innovating innovative approaches to improve Sacco while contributing to the cooperative sector market development.

ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) SOLUTION
Union Crest Bank also launched an enterprise resource plan solution in a bid to digitize and streamline our existing business functions and processes. As customer interactions and preferences accelerate toward digital, it is inevitable that we adapt to the changes by building on the core strength of our business channels. It was incumbent upon us to find new ways to leverage our assets and brand, expand our relationships with our members, increase loyalty, and drive financial performance.
The Board Chair emphasized the introduction on the QC Wallet App “We have introduced the Union Crest Bank App that will allow all members to interact, transact and access all Sacco information in one place.” he stated. “The App is currently available to all members on Google Play” he concluded.

BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN (BCP) AND ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT (ERM) FRAMEWORK
The launch of the Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Plan framework is in accordance with the guidelines provided by the SACCO Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA). The Chair highlighted that the Sacco is required to conduct a test of its business continuity plan as a method to review several events that poses as a risk to its operations and determine a plan of action. “The ERM and BCP framework is in accordance with the global best practices that is ISO 31000, ISO 22301 and COSO Enterprise Risk Management” he said.

The new Union Crest Bank website was a dream for so many members who had raised the need for a revamped website for such a long time. As such it was in fulfillment of our members needs that we embarked on an ambitious program to redesign our website to make it more user friendly and interactive. “We cannot underestimate the impact of growth in technology especially in such an industry driven by technology” said the board Chair.
