A Dollar Savings Account<\/strong> <\/a>with Union Crest Bank offers you just that \u2014 a secure, accessible, and rewarding way to grow your wealth in a globally recognized currency.<\/p>\n

ACCOUNT FEATURES:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Membership and Registration<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

– Membership registration process remains the same and open to all members.<\/p>\n

– Existing members who wish to fully transfer to the USD savings account will be able to convert their current FOSA and Deposits accounts to USD. The Share Capital Account remains in Kenya Shillings.<\/p>\n

– A member can opt to transfer the funds from Kenya Shillings to the USD thereby converting fully. The opposite will, however, not be permitted.<\/p>\n

– Existing members will also have an opportunity of holding both USD and Kenya Shillings FOSA Deposit Savings Account to run side by side. The 2 accounts run independently and do not mingle in funds or loans<\/p>\n

– Where a member opts to open a separate account for USD to run concurrently with the Kenya Shillings account, such a member shall have 2 deposits accounts and 2 FOSA accounts. The share capital shall remain the same in Kenya Shillings.<\/p>\n

– USD and Kenya Shillings accounts will run independently. Transfers between the two accounts will not be permitted.<\/p>\n

– The SACCO will accumulate USD reserves before introducing dollar-denominated loan products.<\/p>\n

FOSA and Cash Operations<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– The FOSA office will have a USD counter to make payments to and receive to the USD accounts. The SACCO will also do bank transfers for Dollar denominated payments but there will be no currency conversions at the counter.<\/p>\n

– Union Crest Bank tariffs apply as stipulated in the Tariff guide available to members.<\/p>\n

Payroll Remittance<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– If A member choses to hold a USD account and submit funds to the SACCO in Kenya Shillings, the funds will be converted at the prevailing market rates before crediting into their accounts and vice versa). Individuals earning in Kenya Shillings are strongly recommended to save in Kenya Shillings.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To open your membership account, fill in the\u00a0Membership Form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 and scan it back to customercare@unioncrestbank.caplix.net<\/strong><\/a> attaching all required documents;<\/p>\n

– A copy of national ID (Passport for non-Kenyans),<\/p>\n

– Employment letter\/pay slip or staff ID<\/p>\n

– Copy of KRA Pin<\/p>\n

– For kin members, a birth certificate (for children membership) or marriage certificate (for spouse membership) is required.<\/p>\n
